This title is part of a bilingual place-based island series called LITTLE ISLAND READERS. This individual board book is an ideal introduction to common themes for the littlest readers. Author Resi J. Suehiro is a retired educator and author. Resi previously authored the “Rainbow Readers” series which served as the inspiration for this board book series.

Illustrator Mariko Merritt is a designer and artist. She is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and Punahou School and currently runs Beachcake ceramics.

‘Ōlelo Hawaiʻi Editor Dr. Keao NeSmith is a Native Hawaiian linguist, educator, and translator.
