    Palaka Baby Overalls - Blue

    Size

Our Palaka Overalls are the first product in our Made in Hawaii line, and they take us back to the simple joys and endless adventures of childhood.

Palaka prints come from the old plantation days here in Hawaii. It was Hawaii’s plaid fabric, usually blue and white. Paniolos, or Hawaiian cowboys, adopted it and eventually became what we know as Palaka today.⁣
When reading the history of Palaka in Hawaii...I was drawn to the fact that Palaka was the clothing people wore when it was time to build and time to relax. What started off as cheap clothing for plantation workers evolved into clothing that became part of local Hawaii culture.

    Features:

    • These overalls feature a knot bow for adjustment.
    • Fabric: 60% Cotton, 40% Polyester
    • Runs small. Palaka does not stretch.
If in doubt, size up to account for fabric shrinkage.
    • Care Instructions: Machine Wash cool with like colors. Hang dry or tumble dry low.
